Julia Bloch grew up in Northern California and Sydney, Australia. From 2006 to 2011 she cocurated the Emergency reading series in Philadelphia. Her poems, essays, and reviews have appeared in Journal of Modern Literature, Aufgabe, P-Queue, Sibila (translated into Portuguese), and elsewhere, and she is the author of Letters to Kelly Clarkson (Sidebrow Books 2012) and coeditor of Jacket2. She lives in Southern California and teaches at the Bard College MAT program.
