Lee Ann Brown has embarked upon writing a long work N.C. ode, the first two books of which are In the Laurels, Caught (Fence Modern Poets Series) and Crowns of Charlotte (Carolina Wren). Past books include Polyverse, The Sleep That Changed Everything and a recent artists book collaboration with Karen Randall, Bagatelles for Cornell (Propolis Press). Brown teaches at St. John’s University, edits Tender Buttons press and multiplies her time between NYC where she hosts the Page Poetry Parlor in her living room, and NC where she started The French Broad Institute (of Time & the River) which she envisions to be a Poetry Project of the South.

Annabel Lee is the author of Basket (Accent Editions, 2012). Portions of At the Heart of the World (O Press, 1979), her translations of Blaise Cendrars, have been set to music by composer Garrett List. Her poetry, prose, and essays have appeared in Dodgems, The Poetry Project Newsletter, Saturday Morning, Exquisite Corpse, and lots of other great magazines and in books.  She is semi-retired as publisher of Vehicle Editions and recently earned her M.A. in Teaching. She sings old-time music she learned from her aunt, Hally Wood.
