Ari Banias grew up in Los Angeles, El Paso, and the suburbs of Chicago. His poems have appeared in Sycamore Review, Drunken Boat, Salt Hill Journal, Aufgabe, the anthology Collective Brightness, and elsewhere. He is the recipient of various residencies and fellowships, including a 2011 New York Foundation for the Arts fellowship and a 2011-2012 Writing Fellowship at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown. He lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
