R. Erica Doyle was born in Brooklyn to Trinidadian immigrant parents and her first book, proxy, was published by Belladonna* Books in 2013. Her work has appeared in Best American Poetry, Our Caribbean: A Gathering of Gay and Lesbian Writing from the Antilles,  Bum Rush the Page: A Def Poetry Jam, Gathering Ground: A Reader Celebrating Cave Canem’s First Decade, Ploughshares, Bloom, Blithe House Quarterly and Sinister Wisdom. She has received grants and awards from the Hurston/Wright Foundation, the Astraea Lesbian Writers Fund, and the New York Foundation for the Arts. Erica is a Cave Canem Fellow and received her MFA in Poetry from The New School. She lives in New York City, where she is an administrator in the NYC public schools and facilitates Tongues Afire: A Free Creative Writing Workshop for queer women and trans and gender non-conforming people of color. Christopher Stackhouse has worked in several media and disciplines including film and video, music recording, theater, painting, drawing, installation, performance, curating, and teaching. He is a book author of a chapbook Slip (Corollary press); co-author of image/text collaboration with writer/translator John Keene, Seismosis (1913 press), which features Stackhouse’s drawings in philosophical discourse with Keene’s texts; and most recently, a volume of poems, Plural (Counterpath press.) His poems have been published in journals including EOAGH, Octopus, GlitterPony, Aufgabe, Hambone, nocturnes (re)view of literary arts, The Volta, and The Recluse. Fellowships and awards include Cave Canem Writer Fellowships; Fellow in Poetry, New York Foundation for the Arts; Pocantico Residency at the Marcel Breuer House, Rockefeller Brothers Fund For The Arts. His essays and reviews have appeared in literary journals American Poet- The Journal of The Academy of American Poets, The Poetry Project Newsletter, A Best of Fence: The First Nine Years Volume 1 Poetry & Non-Fiction; and in arts periodicals Modern Painters, Art In America, NY Arts Magazine, and The Brooklyn Rail, among other publications. He is an advisory board member at FENCE Magazine, a contributing editor at BOMB Magazine, and a contributing poetry editor at VANITAS Magazine. With artists Jomar Statkun and Jared Friedman, Stackhouse is a founding member of the roving artists in residence project This Red Door, which has just completed its third iteration in the Prenzlauer berg section of Berlin, Germany (see www.thisreddoor.com.) His recent appointments include Visiting Faculty at Naropa University Summer Writing Program, Visiting Critic at the Leroy E. Hoffberger School of Painting, Maryland Institute College of Art, and Guest Lecturer at the New York Center for Art & Media Studies.
