Che Chen plays guitar in the band 75 Dollar Bill and makes sound with various instruments/things in other spontaneous and ongoing configurations. He is based in Brooklyn and Stonybrook, NY, where he works for the family cancer diagnostics business. He used to be in another band called True Primes and made two issues of the zine, O Sirhan, O Sirhan. He currently runs the label, Black Pollen Press, which has published works by Eliane Radigue, Pauline Oliveros and Yoshi Wada. The label will release composer Catherine Lamb’s shade/gradient on LP in early 2017.
Julie Ezelle Patton was born and braised in Ohideyhideho, north coast facing the republic of Ontario. Her work has primarily appeared in live spoken-sung performance art pieces in honor of the sound presence of all earthlinks. She has performed throughout the Americas, Europe, and the Milky Way.
Patton’s most recent bound-ink-to-paper production is Notes for Some (Nominally) Awake. Her work has appeared in ((eco (lang)(uage(reader)), I’ll Drown My Book, What I Say and other publications. Julie is a selfproclaimed “phonemenologist” whose book length serial poem B (Tender Buttons Press) and Writing with Crooked Ink (Belladonna) are forthcoming. In 2015, Julie was honored with a Foundation for Contemporary Arts Grants to Artists award and an Atlantic Center for the Arts Master Artist Residency. She used to teach creative writing through Teachers & Writers Collaborative, museums, universities, and other crack joints (until she bought her freedom).
Elaine Kahn is the author of Romance or The End (Soft Skull, 2020) and Women in Public (City Lights Publishers, 2015). Her writing has appeared in Frieze, The Brooklyn Rail, jubilat, Poetry Foundation, Art Papers, and elsewhere. She received an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and teaches at the Poetry Field School. She lives in Los Angeles, California.
Devin Kenny is an interdisciplinary artist, writer, musician, and independent curator.
Hailing from the south side of Chicago, he relocated to New York to begin his studies at Cooper Union. He has since continued his practice through the Bruce High Quality Foundation University, Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, SOMA Mexico, and collaborations with DADDY, pooool, Studio Workout, Temporary Agency and various art and music venues in New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, and elsewhere including: Recess, Het Roode Bioscoop, REDCAT, MoMa PS1, Freak City, and Santos Party House. He received his MFA in 2013 from the New Genres department at UCLA and is an alum of the Whitney Independent Study Program.
<b>Jasmine Dreame Wagner </b>is an American poet, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. She is the author of <em>Rings</em>(Kelsey Street Press, 2014), <em>Rewilding</em> (Ahsahta Press, 2013), <em>Listening for Earthquakes</em> (Caketrain Journal and Press, 2012), and an e-chapbook, <em>True Crime </em>(NAP, 2014). A multi-disciplinary composer, poet and pianist, Janice A. Lowe is the author of LEAVING CLE poems of nomadic dispersal and the chapbook SWAM. Her musical theater compositions include Lil Budda, text by Stephanie L. Jones, Sit-In at the Five & Dime, libretto by Marjorie Duffield and Millie and Christine McKoy Sisters’ Syncopated Sonnets in Song, text by Tyehimba Jess. Her multi-media work Desegregation Remix: 3 Women Sing the Borders is a collaboration with Lee Ann Brown. She teaches multi-media composition at Rutgers University, has taught in Naropa University’s Summer Writing Program and performs with her band NAMAROON. She has composed and recorded with several experimental bands including: w/o a net, Digital Diaspora and HAGL. She is a co-founder of the Dark Room Collective. Lowe was a recent Fellow in Poetics and Poetic Practice at the Center for Programs in Contemporary Writing, University of Pennsylvania. She is a longtime music director at White Bird Productions’ Summer Musical Theater Program.
